A Study on Agape Love & the Power of Prayer

Our last message in the RPoP Power of Prayer portion of our series this week is  “LOVE: The Sum of It All,” a journey into agape love and the power of prayer. Here’s a preview of what we’ll explore together.

Love, we’ll discover, is the very core of our existence — but what exactly is it? We’ll trace how our need for love grows through every stage of life, from birth into adulthood, and how each of us tries to fill an inner emptiness — “the Void” — with power, success, money, relationships, and possessions. The heart of our study reveals that only our Creator can truly fill that void.

To understand love more deeply, we’ll examine its four expressions in the original Greek: Eros (passion), Storge (family affection), Philia (friendship), and Agape — the pure, unconditional, sacrificial love that is God’s love for us. From there, we’ll walk through the six dimensions of agape: a faith-born journey moving from surrender to relationship, trust, obedience, blessing, and abundant, eternal life.

Grounded in Scripture — including 1 John 4, 1 Corinthians 13, Matthew 22, John 15, and Ephesians 3 — we’ll see how abiding in Christ’s love brings freedom, overcoming, answered prayer, and the ability to love others as He loves us.

Come ready to reflect on our part as believers: to love one another and bear lasting fruit, “one day at a time.” No preparation is needed — just an open heart.

We look forward to sharing this time with you.

Keep fighting the good fight, one day at a time!
