True Fellowship & the Power of Surrender

Here’s a recap of the closing section of our messages on true fellowship and living out the armor of God together.

The Power of True Fellowship. With the full armor in place, the question is: who’s covering your back? Through the Holy Spirit, we’re brought together as one body under Christ — “one Lord, one faith, one baptism” (Ephesians 4:4-6). We’re not meant to stand alone.

4 Key Points to Keep in Mind

1. The Real Battle — The fight isn’t against flesh and blood. Winning takes Surrender (being in this world but not of it) and Trust, both built on knowing Jesus intimately through daily prayer. “My sheep hear My voice” (John 10:27).
2. Keep It Simple — Follow the K.I.S.S. principle: Keep It Simple, Saint. Guard “the simplicity that is in Christ” (2 Corinthians 11:3).
3. Discernment — A gift of the Holy Spirit to tell truth from lies. Test everything against Scripture and the Spirit (1 John 4:1-3). Remember, Satan’s best lie is one degree from the truth. “The Bible led by the Holy Spirit — you grow up!”
4. True Fellowship — A “fellowship of sinners, not saints” (Bonhoeffer). It’s about getting honest through:
   • Confession — bringing light into the darkness (James 5:16)
   • Accountability — spurring one another toward love and good deeds (Hebrews 10:24)
   • Unity — “a triple-braided cord is not easily broken” (Ecclesiastes 4:9-12)

Bottom Line: In complete armor and true fellowship, the only way to win this war is by surrender — surrender to Jesus Christ, one day at a time.

Keep fighting the good fight, one day at a time!
