⚔️PW365: RPoP: 019: The Double-Edged Sword of the Spirit, the Word of God, WED, JUNE 24-25, 2026 🙏

After closing out the Shield of Faith, we took up the final piece of the Armor of God: the Sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God (Ephesians 6:17–18). This is our only offensive weapon, so learning to use it well matters.

We saw the sword as living and powerful — “sharper than any two-edged sword” (Hebrews 4:12) — with divine power to demolish strongholds like arguments, pretensions, imaginations, and reasonings (2 Corinthians 10:3–6).

The sword has two edges:

• Side One — The Bible: 66 books, 40+ inspired authors, written over roughly 2,000 years, authored by the Holy Spirit. It must be “sharpened” through meditation and knowing Scripture, with our full armor in place.
• Side Two — The Holy Spirit / Sword of the Mouth: Jesus is the Word made flesh (John 1:1–5). We explored logos and rhema, and the warning that a misused tongue causes real harm — strife, manipulation of Scripture, and a powerless prayer life (James 3:6–10).

The key is surrender: the sword is effective only through a steady, daily relationship with Jesus Christ, which leads to discernment, spiritual gifts, authority over evil, and obedience to God’s will.

We close in prayer — faith that moves mountains (Matthew 21:21–22) and the promise that where two or three agree, God is present (Matthew 18:19–20) — and with Andrew Murray’s reminder that limited prayer stems from missing the connection between the life of faith and the prayer of faith.

Keep fighting the good fight, one day at a time.
